When baby struggles, everyone struggles - including you
According to the CDC, 1 in 6 children in the United States has at least one developmental delay, (1) yet our current health system is unequipped to help these children and their families when they aren't meeting motor milestones like rolling, crawling, sitting and walking.
Pediatricians often take the “wait and see” approach, and pediatric physical therapists - if you can find one - have an average wait time of six months or more (2), leaving parents overwhelmed, anxious, and less engaged with the work you hired them to do. (3)
The research is clear:
When parents lack support they are more likely to suffer burnout and less likely to take on extra assignments, offer new ideas, or participate in team initiatives. (3)
And that's not good for anyone.
