Flapping hands - 7 months old

Hi. My daughter is 7 months old and she is constantly flapping her hands, for example when sitting in her high chair, when lying on her back wanting us to pick her up, when unhappy on her tummy and doing a “superman “ position… I’m worried if that might be a sign of autism? She started doing it like a month ago and it was mostly associated to the burp bothering her when she was lying on her back…
other wise she makes eye contact, she is smiling to us… She is capable to roll, sitting with the support, not crawling yet…
I would appreciate any info, advice…
Thank you.

@ddar. Hey there!! Hand flapping in isolation doesn’t necesarily mean that a child has Autism, especially because you mentioned that she has good eye contact, a social smile, and she’s meeting her milestones. Also, that Superman position you mentioned is most likely the landau reflex, which is usually present in babies your daughter’s age. With that said, I would take a few videos and show them to your pediatrician just for peace of mind.:heart::heart:
